twoNodeLink and FiberSection

Post by sdespradel »

Hello-

This question is related to this great article from prof. Scott (second paragraph from last):
https://portwooddigital.com/2025/02/23/ ... awakening/

I'm looking to develop PM springs for modeling lumped plasticity in bridge columns.

Is there a way of assigning a FiberSection to a twoNodeSpring model?
Based on my testing, I can't find a way of using a twoNodeLink element and including a FiberSection. I'm moving ahead with the traditional ZeroLength Element and the ElasticMultiLinear uniaxial material but, I was curious if there's a more effective way using the FiberSection.

Thank you,
Shukre
