An error in nonlinear time-history analysis

Post by Across »

I established a fiber model to analyze a bridge under earthquake excitation. In the process of calculating, an error happened as follows:
WARNING - ForceBeamColumn3d::update - failed to get compatible element forces &
deformations for element: 115(dW: << 8.27966, dW0: 11148.9)
Domain::update - domain failed in update
Newmark::update() - failed to update the domain
WARNING AcceleratedNewton::solveCurrentStep() -the Integrator failed in update()
DirectIntegrationAnalysis::analyze() - the Algorithm failed at time 8.8
OpenSees > analyze failed, returned: -3 error flag

I tried to reduce the seismic action, it worked. But I don't know why it happened. I want to know whether there is a more effective method. My openSEES is 2.4.6 version. I need some help. Thanks.
