the constraint to quadUP

Post by weide361 » Fri May 15, 2009 10:59 am

when I use the fix command to restrain a dof of the node,I can still get a nonzero displacement to the dof,is anything wrong with this?
I think it should be 0.

you should only get a non-zero displacement if you are using the Penalty method to enforce the constraints.

if you get a non-zero with other constraint handlers you need to ensure that the node is not slaved to another in that dirn.
