Modeling Diaphragms for a skewed box girder bridge.

If you have a script you think might be useful to others post it
here. Hopefully we will be able to get the most useful of these incorporated in the manuals.

Modeling Diaphragms for a skewed box girder bridge.

Post by uxb5003 » Thu Jun 21, 2012 8:54 am

Hi,

I'm trying to model a 3d 2-span skewed box girder bridge. I need to understand how do I model the diaphragm located at mid-span and at the piers. How do I introduce the skew angle?
I was initially thinking of adding a rigid element with length equaling the width of the superstructure, and defining the properties for it.

Thanks,
