Removing fiber at a specified time step

Post by yfeng » Mon Sep 13, 2010 9:33 am

Hi Frank,
I am thinking about removing fiber at a specified time step of dynamic analysis. For example, I want to remove a steel fiber in RC column after strain 0.12 to representing rupture. If removing the fiver is available, I dont need to spend a long time on development of a constitutive model to satisfy this requirement.

It is always good to make OpenSees more flexible since flexibility is its important advantage. I am sure capacity of removing fiber will benefit other researchers for different purposes.

Thank you.
