ZeroLength element

Post by Michaelson » Tue Jan 15, 2019 1:33 am

Hello everyone,
is it possible to define a zerolength element for 2 nodes with differing dof :?
When I do so, OpenSees stops working with a warning sign with the following error : nodes 1 and 339 have differing dof at ends for ZeroLength 520
any suggestion will be greatly appreciated
thanks :)

As the name indicates, the element should have zero length, therefore it is not possible to have 2 nodes at different locations.

What do you mean by differing nodes?
