OpenSees for PDA (Sharp Zaurus)

Post by Yoshi » Mon Nov 15, 2004 1:11 am

Hi,

I am interested in the scalability of OpenSees framework and tried to compile it for PDA, Sharp Zaurus. It has Open Linux on the Intel XScale-PXA255 processor and no hard disk. I could get OpenSees 1.6.1 binary for it. I can enjoy OpenSees anytime and anywhere. :D If you are interested in it, please visit http://opensees.kuciv.kyoto-u.ac.jp/

OpenSees on Zaurus

Excellent!! Very inteersting, I was thinking about doing that couple of years ago and was even in touch with SHarp since they have this support forum...

Please keep us informed on how it goes as there will be more development of specific modules (in near future, based on OpenSees) to address very specific problems and the small Zaurus might be a good platform of choice.

Thanks, Boris
