Post by cgtydmrc » Tue Jul 25, 2017 7:34 am

Hi,

Could you please help on what is the possible way to include base isolator (for example, flatsliderbearing) into a 2d 2dof model?

Thanks,
C.

You can use a hysteretic material with defining a beta factor of 3 and it gives you the behaviour of the slide bearing element which dissipates energy through friction.
