I need to know how to model a unsymmetric section (L shape for example) in opensees (all sections in the examples are symmetric). 2) Why all sections in the examples are rotated such Y axis is vertical and Z axis is horizontal?

an L shape is just 2 rectangular patches .. i trust you can figure it out for yourself.
