Use natural column ordering.

Post by JLCM » Fri Dec 31, 2004 1:06 am

hi. i am running a transient analysis on a 2D frame model.

i am just curious about the comment "Use natural column ordering." whenever i run the analysis, and the analysis still produces output results.

is there any problem with my input or model with this comment.? does this type of comment render the output results erroneous?

thanks.

Sorry!
I couldn't understand you! I run a MomentCurvature Analysis with the example2.1.tcl and MomentCurvature.tcl that website gives. But I also find the error prompt, "Use natural column ordering" . I don't know why? Please tell us clearly! thanks!

the message is neither an error, nor a warning. it is just a statement output someone had placed in his/her program.
An error would actually stop the analysis.
A warning does not halt the analysis but warns you that you may have done something not quite right.
A statement such as the one we are discussing may just be something that a programmer had output to track program execution and forgot to remove.
Frank is looking into removing this VERY VERY VERY annoying statement!
