hinge state: display colour

Post by maf » Sat Nov 13, 2004 6:40 am

dear users,

is there a way to display plastic hinge state (or plastic element state, for spread plasticity) using the display command and assigning colours to different states?

I've tried with the display command but even yelded elements appear blue.
I am currently using nonlinearBeamcolumn elements, should I try something else?

what class is responsible for the display recorder?

thanks

no .. you can record the plasticRotation at the elements .. we don't mention the graphics in the manual because that area needs some work and we don't have the resources to work on it.

ok frank, but
if so,
why a display command like this plots a deformed shape changing in colour with the displacement amplitude?

# a window showing the displaced shape
recorder display RCFrame 360 10 600 600 -wipe
vup 0 100 0
prp 0 0 10000000
display 1 5 10

thanks
