Question about the example "Simulating a Centrifuge Test" in the OpenSees official website

Post by wbx000 » Thu Feb 29, 2024 11:12 pm

Hello everyone, I have a question about the example "Simulating a Centrifuge Test" in the OpenSees official website. How to calculate the nodal Pore Pressure 5.6658 and nodal load 0.18 in "Top Pore Pressure Conditions"?

The following is my understanding, not sure if it is correct.

Node pore pressure =denw*g*d;
Joint load =denw*g*d*A; (where A= allocated area of surface node)

Look forward to your reply and help!
