viscoelastic boundary

Post by wbx000 » Wed Sep 20, 2023 3:14 am

Are there viscoelastic boundary element for 2D models in opensees? Or how to realize a two-dimensional model with viscoelastic boundaries?

OpenSees does not have a specific element type for that.

You can apply viscoelastic material properties to standard elements like quad or brick elements. OpenSees has several material models. You can use the ViscousMaterial or StandardLinearSolid material models, start from there.

Define the viscoelastic material properties for your model. This may include parameters such as elastic modulus, damping ratios, and other relevant properties.super mario bros wonder

Thank you for your reply! I used ViscousMaterial and ElasticMaterial.
