What is wrong with the Wiki Page?

Post by udu » Mon Jun 05, 2023 4:18 pm

Hi Admin,

It appears folks have had issues assessing example files and descriptive images on the OpenSees wiki page for months and there has not been an explicit response from the Admin as to why this issue is ongoing.

I have scoured the Facebook group and this platform and the very few times an Admin responds, the user is redirected to a GitHub repository or the new documentation page.

Can the Admin please tell us why users cannot access contents on OpenSees wiki? The new documentation page only has about 20% (this being an optimistic estimate) of all details on the WIki page included. It barely even touches the examples files.

It is also highly inefficient to navigate the GitHub repository we are being "directed" to find relevant information. I believe the plan is to link the GitHub repo to the new documentation page for ease of navigation. However, directing users to the raw repo itself does not yield a desirable outcome.
