Meshing in force beam column element

Post by kaustavsengupta » Mon Mar 15, 2021 8:33 pm

Dear Users,

Can someone help me with the number of fibers required in y and z direction of a force based nonlinear beam-column element?

I have tried several values but I am having issues in the response in pushover analysis, specifically post yielding region. It has a lot of serrations and it is stopping way before the maximum drift.

Thank you.

Regards,

This is probably not a fiber issue, but more of a constitutive model or analysis load step issue.
