Remove command

Post by lvjidaren » Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:16 am

Do you have ever used Remove Command? I have a question that I wanna to replace my beams when it sufferring from a time-history analysis, however, when I reconnected a new element between the two nodes, and run next time-history analysis, the OpenSEES would flash back without any indicator. So is there anyone knows the reason ?

It may have convergence issues at that point. Also adding a new element after removing another does nor seem to have much physical meaning, why do you do that?
