Fluid-structure interaction in OpenSees

Post by ajaykumarakay » Tue Nov 10, 2020 7:18 am

Hi,

I have following doubts in solving FSI problems in OpenSees:

(i) Can someone please tell me how to perform the analysis of seismically excited liquid container? Can I apply base excitation in similar way as applied for structural problems and then use FSI commands for analysis?

(ii) IS it possible to do the modal analysis of sloshing modes of a liquid in a container using "eigen" command?

(iii) I tried to create a 2D mesh using "Tri31" elements in OpenSees, ut it was showing an error that - "The element Tri31 is currently not supported in mesh".Can you please help me in this?

Regarding (iii): The command is case sensitive. The online documentation has an error. Enter 'tri31' instead of 'Tri31'.
