Which algorithm to use?

Hi
I am doing a shear wall model in opensees. I dont understand when to use which algorithm. Need some suggestions on when to use which algorithm.

Do you mean the nonnlinear solution algorithm?

It depends on the level of nonlinearity. You can start with the regular Newton Raphson and try other methods if needed. This paper shows that starting with Newton with Line Search gives the best results in terms of convergence for highway bridges.
