Problems installing OpenSeesPyMac on Anaconda python distribution+OSX

Post by jaskanwalC » Wed Apr 29, 2020 10:53 am

Hi, I primarily use the Anaconda distribution of Python and I am able to install OpenSeesPyMac from https://pypi.org/project/openseespymac/. However, when I am trying to import openseespymac.opensees, I am getting the following error:

import openseespymac.opensees
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
ImportError Traceback (most recent call last)
<ipython-input-3-2309596dabdd> in <module>
----> 1 import openseespymac.opensees

ImportError: dlopen(/usr/local/anaconda3/lib/python3.7/site-packages/openseespymac/opensees.so, 2): Library not loaded: /usr/local/opt/python/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.7/Python
Referenced from: /usr/local/anaconda3/lib/python3.7/site-packages/openseespymac/opensees.so
Reason: image not found
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like the openseespymac.opensees is trying to find Python in /usr/local/opt/python/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.7/Python. But since I am using Anaconda distribution Python is not saved in this directory. Is there a way to make this package work while using the Anaconda distribution of Python? Thanks!
