Difference between modelling quad fiber or tri fiber

Post by Swanrhcp » Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:59 am

Hello to all,
I would like to know if by modeling a structure with different fiber discretizations, or using the patch fiber command or using the fiber command, there are differences in the results?
If yes, in which cases is it useful to discretize with quadrangular fibers and in which cases with triangular fibers? Thank you

maybe you can try calculating several Moment-Curvature diagrams with different section fibers discretization... and let us know!
