Convergence achieved with reduced dt!

Post by cgtydmrc » Wed Sep 05, 2018 4:43 am

Hi,

I am trying to run a response history analysis in OpenSees but having some convergence issues. When I decrease dt of the analysis, the model achieves convergence.

I was wondering if you can help me with a loop that changes dt (for example: when failed, try with a reduced dt and then continue with the original value.).
I will appreciate if anyone uses such loop and help.

Thanks in advance.
