shear wall element

How can shear walls designed by opensees? Is there a reference to it?

either force beam columns or using shell element with a layered material approach to the cross section.

shell will only work 3d .. you can mix 2d and 3d models if you have beams or truss elements that are also needed by using the equalDOF command at the common nodes
