FRPConfinedConcrete uniaxial material:

Post by kmegal01 » Tue Apr 14, 2015 3:03 am

I have received some e-mails from other researchers/students regarding the use of the material model "FRPConfinedConcrete" that it is inserted in Opensees reporting that it is very slow and that it doesn't give any results. Therefore I was wondering if you have any idea about what is causing these problems to appear when somebody is using this specific material in Opensees ?

Had the same problem. I did the implementation procedure correctly but didn't get any results. I ended up using another model which wasn't that useful.

Dear All,

With the help of Dr. McKenna the problems related to the convergence of FRPConfinedConcrete material in Opensees have been resolved (Source Code Modification Number 5970).

Thank you for your attention.

Kind Regards,

Kostas
