Story Shear

Post by martinmasanes » Fri Jan 10, 2014 10:54 am

Dear All

I'm performing a time history analysis and want to capture the story shear. The model is a braced frame, so the question is which is the best recorder to capture the shear at each story

Thanks!!

you need to use element recorders. if you are adventerous there is an example one for developers that you could build and then use that will sum all the element forces for you so you don't have to process them in sometng else when done.
