HSS Sections

Hello vesna
I like use the HSS sections (Pipe) in my model. But the area and other section features dont confirm with those is achieved by in AISC3.PRO of ETABS model.
i.e. the section modeld in opensees is stiffer than the section in ETABS. Are the nominal dimentions diffrent from real dimentions?

How far off are they? There will be some difference between the A and I computed with a fiber model using the nominal dimensions and those tabulated in professional design manuals. Same goes for wide flange I-beams.
