recorder

Post by mehdikia2519 » Mon Sep 02, 2013 2:32 am

Dear Frank
please let me know more in detail about two commands one is drift recorder and the other is nodal acceleration recorder
when we use drift recorder , this command calculate difference between displacement at two level i.e.( Displacement at level i+1 - displacement at level i ) or calculate drift angle i.e . [( Displacement at level i+1 - displacement at level i )/(distance between two level )] . in addition when acceleration recorder used at a node the total acceleration will be recorded i.e ( relative acceleration + ground acceleration ) or relative acceleration will be recorded .
thanks for your attention

/L

it is recording the accel stored at the node. if a uniform excitation this is the relative acceleration; if multi-suport it is the total accel.

The drift recorder is calculating the angle
