rotational springs

Post by kgkoktsi » Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:25 am

Does anybody know how I can model rotational springs to the base of a structure?

Thanks a lot!

define two nodes at the same location. define rotational spring between these two nodes using zeroLenght element. rotational spring needs to be defined in direction 6. make sure to fix the slave node of the rotational spring in all other directions (e.g., if in 2D you will need to issue command fix 2 1 1 0, where 2 is the node tag of the slave node).
