Post by Pao » Wed Sep 08, 2004 2:13 pm

Hi~ Groups

I want to simulate pore water pressure dissipation without external load in Opensees. How can I set ithe nitial P.W.P by using 4-node quadUp element.? I really need your help.

Thank you very much

Not sure about the inner workings of the quad-up element, but since pore pressure is just another DOF, you can specify it as "initial displacement" (think of it as generalized displacement or DOF...).
