Post by raham » Thu Oct 20, 2005 1:43 am

How can I model a viscose damper as an element between two nodes with no stiffness?

use a truss element with the viscous material.

the stiffness in that truss will be 0 if you use the ViscusMaterial .. browse the source code
to see for yourself

could you use a zero-length element with the viscous material if the length of your damper is negligible?
