buckling load

Post by susan » Sat Mar 31, 2012 4:31 am

Hello,

how can we get the buckling load (Pcr) for a 4-story plane frame from Opensees?

excuse me, no response means that the buckling analysis can not be performed in opensees?

Sorry, but we had a problem with a server so I am late with answering the questions.

OpenSees does not have capability of calculating the critical load of the structure.

Hi

I think that If you use an imperfection about 1/500-1/1000 of member length and plot the load-displacement curve, you can calculate buckling load.
