Is it currently possible to do a compression-only (ex: gap) or tension-only (ex: cable/rod) element?

for compression only there are the following materials:

Thanks Silvia. I was looking in the wrong section- looking at element types, rather than material types. Looks like the elastic-plastic gap can work as tension only as well as compression only.

You can also use the ElasticPP material which can be created to have either tension or compression only by using including the optional $epsyN and $eps0
