beamWithHinges issue

Post by lvy » Wed Jun 01, 2005 4:21 am

In command manual, the command as follow,
element beamWithHinges $eleTag $iNode $jNode $secTagI $HingeLengthI $secTagJ $HingeLengthJ $E $A $Iz $Iy $G $J $transfTag <-mass $massDens> <-iter $maxIters $tol>
If I just need one hinge in one element, how to settle?

and if that gives you numerical problems (dunno the formulation), just assign it an elastic section corresponding to the elastic area.
