Nonconvergence problem of Concrete02

Post by HUJIEFENG » Fri Dec 08, 2023 4:45 am

In my model, if Concrete02 is used, it will not converge, and hints:

WARNING - ForceBeamColumn2d::update - failed to get compatible element forces & deformations for element: 6(dW: << 3.45314e-12)
Domain::update - domain failed in update
DisplacementControl::update - model failed to update for new dU
WARNING AcceleratedNewton::solveCurrentStep() -the Integrator failed in update()
StaticAnalysis::analyze() - the Algorithm failed at step: 0 with domain at load factor 2109.51
OpenSees > analyze failed, returned: -3 error flag

However, it works properly if Concrete01 is used. I hope someone can help me and give me some advice. Thank you for your reply and suggestions.

You should check your Concrete02 input parameters for lambda, ft, and Ets
