Assign a plastic hinge

Post by MZekiGorus » Tue Nov 09, 2021 2:00 am

Hi, everyone.

I have a question about how to add a plastic hinge(especially; 'HingeRadauTwo') in OpenSeesPy. I'm working on non-linear frame modeling in comparison with OpenSeesPy, SAP2000, and VecTor2 which are based on FEM modeling programs. My subject is a pushover analysis of the Vecchio-Emara two-dimensional reinforced-concrete flexure-critical frame. When I construct the frame in force-based analysis with various numbers of Gauss-Lobatto points I obtained a similar tendency close to experimental data. And then, I decided to re-analyze using plastic hinges in order to match the experiment and ı want to observe the post-peak response behavior. But, I didn't know how to assign a plastic hinge which is based on the integration weight for this case. Do I have to define beamIntegration() twice? Do you have an example of assigning plastic hinges?

Thanks in advance.
