This is Pavan Chigullapally, Ph.D. student, and Max Stephens, Lecturer from the University of Auckland. We have started an OpenSees Support Group and would like to invite OpenSees/OpenSeesPy users to join our bi-weekly meetings. The aim of the support group is to form a close-knit group of researchers using OpenSees/OpenSeesPy, to demonstrate research performed using OpenSees/OpenSeesPy, and to discuss individual projects.
The meetings are held via Zoom and are open to everyone, even to beginners. The next meeting is on 9 October 2020 (Friday) at 11 am (NZ Standard Time). If you would like to join our regular bi-weekly meetings and receive information about them please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The structure of these meetings will be:
1) Presentation ~ 20mins
2) Technical learnings, challenges faced and how you overcame them, suggestions for others, etc. ~ 20mins
3) Open discussion related to issues faced by OpenSees users in their own projects with all the other users present during the session. ~ 20mins
Please feel free to forward this to anyone you know are interested in OpenSees/OpenSeesPy.
Note: We are planning to record the presentation and post it online.
