CBF bracing

I want to model some cbf braces ( in this case X brace).in a peer report by Uriz and Mahin, they have suggested a method to model cbf in opensees, but they did not mention how to model X braces.
is it reliable to model X braces with this method in a tall building in opensees ?
how can i model that?
