Re: can Opensees output the number of iteration?
Hi.
NumIter can be echoed during the analysis. See the command manual for test command. Various options are available depending on the test object you invoke. If you want to write the iteration and convergence details use Logfile command. Details are again in the command manual.
Hope this helps.

Re: OpenSees Windows Binary 2.5.0 (64 bit) DOES NOT WORK !!
Dear fmk.
Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I will try the 32 bit version, although my Windows is 64 bit. But would certainly love to compile from source in Linux. Is there any other way to get the tarball from some mirror site?
Regards.

Re: svn Download problem ?
Dear fmk.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using peera.berkeley.edu. But still having the same issue. I came to know that tarball uploading is difficult due to paucity of space/cost. I don't know what to do. Hope you can guide me with some solution.

Re: OpenSees exits immediately after running file!
Check if the last line in your source file is "exit". If so delete it.

How to use PVDRecorder (Version 2.5.0. Release Tag 6236)
Dear All, 1. Would any one please enlighten me on the command syntax of PVD recorder available in version 2.5.0? 2. There is a command available for a (related?) software at http://web.engr.oregonstate.edu/~zhum/command.html. Is the same syntax applicable for OpenSees as well? Hope to listen from yo...

Re: How to use PVDRecorder (Version 2.5.0. Release Tag 6236
Dear All, May I request you, colleagues who have used or have the knowledge on PVDRecorder to kindly give me the OS command? How to use PVDRecorder (Version 2.5.0. Release Tag 6236
Hi fmk and all, The change log of version 2.5.0 (R Tag 6236) talks about PVD recorder for viewing in Paraview. This is a welcome development and I thank the developer for the same. Re: Question about geotechnical examples
May try gmsh (http://gmsh.info/#Download). Its a free mesher which is lightweight. One can do structured meshing by using "Transfinite" and "Recombine" commands, save the mesh in ASCII format and read it using MATLAB and then convert it to OpenSees. Good tutorials are available in youtube, (viz: htt...
