I think option 2 is best if you know the displacement history.

Unfortunately, a lot of sendSelf/recvSelf methods are not implemented.

I would keep creating GitHub issues so that Frank sees the problems :)

I'm not sure about your question then. Fiber sections determine the stress resultant interaction automatically.

Also check supports with only truss elements connected.

You should fix the rotational DOFs at the "truss only" joints.
