Hi Frank
Can you please tell me what is the correct syntax for nodeEigenVector command, if it is available in version 2.2.0.?
thanks

problem while compiling OpenSees in Mac 10.6.1
Hi While compiling opensees 2.1 in Mac OS X 10.6.1, I am getting the following error. I modified the Makefile.def.MacOS10.4. AGL_Device.cpp:65: error: ‘ReleaseWindow’ was not declared in this scope AGL_Device.cpp: In member function ‘virtual void AGL_Device::WINOPEN(const char*, int, int, int, int)’...

not working. i used the following syntax set recorderTag [recorder Node -file $DAPout/Eigen$j.wri -time -node $masterNode -dof 1 2 6 "eigen $j"] it gives error NodeRecorder::NodeRecorder - datAToStore 99001 99002..not recognized {disp, vel, accel, incrDisp, incrDeltaDisp} by the way remove recorders...

Problem in Eigen value recorder
Hi I am running adaptive pushover for a 3d buildings. I have one problem with the eigen value recorder. my algorithm is like for 1 to N number of steps define eigen value recorder analyze the structure process the eigen values compute load vector for the next step go back to 1st step since the eigen...

Error while running OpenSess in Mac
Hi Recently I encountered a problem while running opensees from terminal. the error msg is like this Error in startup script: Bus error after running 2 to 3 steps in any kind of analysis, whether it is time history or pushover analysis. while running from matlab, it is working perfectly. could you p...

Element specific Rayleigh damping coefficients
Hi
Is it possible to specify elementwise Rayleigh damping constants.
For example, some elements with 5% damping and some with 10% damping in the same model during time history analysis.
thanks in advance

Print out of different matrices
Hi there Is it possible to extract the non-zero values contained in the residual, tangent, mass and damping matrices? If not possible within the currently available framework, could you please suggest any easy procedure that can help me to extract those data. Secondly, is it possible to implement Ca...

Energy recorder
Hi Silvia
I wonder whether it is possible to record the energy (eg, damping, strain) associated with each element or with whole structure at each step during time history analysis. I need to verify the energy balance of the system..
Thanks

Corotational Transformation
Hi I am analyzing a 3D RC building. After imposing gravity load as a uniformly distributed load on elements, a series of pushover analyses has been performed. Interestingly, when I used corotational transformation for beam elements i got some strange results, e.g., 1st time period = 1.2s whereas wit...
