Re: Section analysis
Hi Selimgunay,
thank you very much sir for your answer. I tried this example is it works well.
Please, is it necessary to do a moment curvature analysis (column sectional analysis) in 3D, for a bridge that we want to modeling also in 3D? !!
I appreciate your help in advance. Thank you

Re: Section analysis
Hi , I use Zerolength section element in OpenSees. A section discretized by concrete and steel is created to represent the behaviour uniaxialMaterial in 3-D space. I am looking to make a moment curvature analysis of a section ?!! Here is the code I used: recorder Node -file curvature.out -time -node...

curve curvature depending the time
Dears Sirs, I am working on the vulnerability of bridges. In the dynamic ground motion analysis, can we plot the curve of curvature of columns depending of the time by OpenSees?!! So if you can helps me I will be very grateful. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Mme DJELIL H. PhD ...

Re: groundmotion and uniformexitation.
Dear Sir ; I would be very grateful if you could answer. I tried to validate the example 1DOF, the results of the displacements for analysis Transient are the same as that of the static analysis. Therefore, probably the execution does not pass to the transient analysis. The code is as follows: sourc...

Re: Moment Curvature Analysis
I would be very grateful if you could answer. For a rectangular section, the results of moment-curvature obtained by SAP2000 and OpenSees are as follows (example find in web site): OpenSees: phi(y)=0,0001269 SAP2000: phi(y)=0,000223 How we can justify the difference beteween these two methods. Thank...

Moment Curvature Analysis
Hello everybody, I did a moment curvature analysis of RC column for a rectangular section (found in the site). The results obtained by different methods are as follows: with: - OpenSees: phi(y)=0.0001269 - SAP2000: phi(y)=0.000223 -KSU_RC : phi(y)=0.0008363 - How be can justify the difference betwee...

Re: installation
Dear colleague I have tried to install opensees.exe on Windows 10 after installing Tcl ... 64 bit ... Then, I tried to apply one of the examples found in basic example manual of opensees for a possible execution; But he posted me a message "couldn't read file 'exemple.tcl': no such file or directory...
