Re: recorder in push analysis

Dear Sir or Madam I tired to compress my program in a single file and print it here. the structure is tee shape and consists of 5 sub elements in each span and four sun elements in column. the base column is labeled No. 100 and the reaction is recorded in 3 ends. the structure is pushed out of plane...

Re: recorder in push analysis

Dear Vesna thank you very much for your reply would you please explain more or introduce me a reference? As far as I checked for my model the base shear or the shear force of the base element, is becoming constant eventually , while this force (as you mentioned) is raising linearly! best regards Nahid

recorder in push analysis

Dear sir or madam

while doing pushover analysis (with DisplacementControl integrator ) I record the node displacement and I asked Opensees to record time too.

Has the value which is printed in the first column of the .txt file, (time column) have any special meaning?

thank you very much

Re: softening the model in hing connection

Hi

yes it is strange but, I have to mention that even when I constraint all the DOFs the result is the same, I think something is wrong with the extra node.

can I send the simplified model for you?

thanx alot for your reply

softening the model in hing connection

Dear Sir or Madam Based on your guidance, I modeled the hinge connection between the end of pier and deck of my bridge model with two nodes at the same location with equalDof constraint in transitional X, Y and Z direction. Dear Vesna I did what you said, but opensees 2.3.0 couln't complete the progam and it fails. Besied that I learned that, I can copy the 2.3.0 version of OpenSees in the bin folder of "tclEditor" and then I can use my tclEdithor, But again the mentioned problem occures, and it gave lots of warnnings ...

Re: Plotting & Checking fiber sections in Matlab

Dear Sir The bridge which I'm working on has a Hollow Rectangular RC section. Would you please inform me that how I can use the scripts? Already I do not have MatLab on my PC, but I can find one. Has your script written in a way that it can be easily fixed for RC section? Shall I run OpenSees and Ma...

proc command in tcl

Dear Sir or Madam I wrote the following procedure, but it dose not work. It seems that you can not do a series of computations, and compute different parameters and get the result? Is proc command for computing a single function and returning the results? so how you can do a series of computations ?...

how define a hing connection

Dear Sir or Madam

Hi

For a hing connection I tried to define two fifferent nodes in the same location and constrain their Transitional degrees of freedom (longitudinal, transversal and up and down movements) by equalDof command.

is it correcte?
