Re: how to use load control and displacement contol
Thanks, Vesna! yeah,I wanna simulate a test with variable vertical load and lateral displacement. foreach Vstep $ivstep Dstep $iDstep {.... ...loadcontrol ....analyze.... ...records ...displacement control ....nanlyze the problem is that it only records no hysteresis loops but a linear line. maybe t...

how to use load control and displacement contol
when simulate the test with vertical load control and lateral displacement control.
it seems it cannot be simulated directly?

how can I decrease the displacement step cotrol automaticall
I am trying to decrease the step size automatically when solving failed.
but the variable cannot be changed in each loop.
it seems the only ways is create steping size file for that?

why Rectangular section is more difficult to calculate
it seems that rectangualar section is more difficult to calculate than circular section during hysteresis analysis? Of course,it's not the essential reason, but why? and I cannot solve the rectangular section when I change the materials from concrete01 to concrete04. WARNING - ForceBeamColumn2d::upda...

Re: recording stressstrain is empty, why?
I met the same problem with rectangular section, while I can get the stress and strain from circular section.
the file is empty...why?

I believe you could use the same model for both nonlinear static analysis and dynamics analysis.

Re: beamwithhinge element example
how is it going?
yeah,I meet the same problem.
maybe you could revise the tol and increase the iter.
and shorter the displacement control step.
and, the above does not work, expecially when the step is too large.
