Dear silvia,

thanks a lot for your help but if i define the extra node at the center of truss element, this node is hinge; however for other elements there is no problem.
i want to define imperfection at the center of TRUSS element without created extra hinge. How can i do it?

I have the same question.For define mass source from loads that susan said, we should use dead weight of elements (p*A*L) for "mass" command and use external loads (DEAD+20%LIVE) for "load" command.
Is it true??
