Permission to use OpenSees in commercial applications

Hello,

We have a Precast Concrete Buildings Analysis and Design Software called FAB2018.com
I would like to get permission to incorporate OpenSees in FAB2018 for Nonlinear Time History Analysis.

How can I get this permission?

Re: Hysteretic Material

Well, I checked them both, however, they do not allow to specify negative values. Only positive K and it uses in negative zone as well..Hysteretic allows to input different positive and negative values...

Re: Hysteretic Material

the problem is my post tension connection return path goes thru 0,0. My aim is to make mu-beta *Ko such that return path goes thru 0,0. To do this, I equate mu-beta*Ko= s3p/e3p, to make return path go back to 0,0, I need to input damage1 and beta as input...However, I dont know how to calculate dama...

Hysteretic Material

Dear All,

For my post tension beam column connection I use Hysteretic uniaxial material.

$damage1 damage due to ductility: D1(mu-1) so D1 = mu -1 ? .

I have the value for mu to power of -beta, but the command asks for beta only. therefore i need to find mu ...

Re: Nonlinear Spring Element

Yes sorry it was my mistake of using Zero Length Element...it should be like this without equaldof command: element zeroLength 100016 1 300000 -mat 100016 100016 100016 100016 100016 100016 -dir 1 2 3 4 5 6 Of course ı should define a seperate material for each direction.... Thank you very much Dr. ...

Re: Nonlinear Spring Element

I run with several Hinge Moment and Rotations, however, 1. Time history did NOT change as well as maximum displacements. 2. In first run they did not yield, and in second run they yielded. However, still time history and maximum displacements did NOT change. 3. They only change happen when I change ...

Re: Nonlinear Spring Element

No, they are not constrained in rotation. All is OK with them. Lets say I have a beam and I model it as uniaxial Hysteretic and zerolength element as nonlinear rotation spring + elastic Element with E + uniaxial Hysteretic and zerolength element as nonlinear rotation spring. The columns I model as f...
