Meshing in force beam column element

Dear Users, Can someone help me with the number of fibers required in y and z direction of a force based nonlinear beam-column element? I have tried several values but I am having issues in the response in pushover analysis, specifically post yielding region. It has a lot of serrations and it is sto...

Reference document for uniaxial hysteretic material ?

Dear Users,

I want to know what is the reference document for uniaxial hysteretic material for reinforcement steel. I have searched but not able to find any document to explain the behavior of hysteretic material. Kindly help me in this regard.

Thank you.

Joint2D calibration issues

Respected Users,

I have tried to calibrate joint2D element as per PEER22 joint model. But my response is not matching at all. The response is higher and drift at maximum response is not matching.

Please help me in this regard.

Effective stiffness & slip spring - flexure+slip calibration

Dear Users,

I am modelling a cantilever column using fiber section and nonlinear beam-column element for flexural calibration under lateral load. While using effective stiffness in the model, can I use elastic slip spring too?

Thank you.

Calibration of column (fiber element) for flexure

Dear Members, I have been trying to calibrate a column model from PEER SPD (Ang et al. 1981 unit no. 4) but the strength of the model is coming higher than that of the experimental values in the plot (base shear vs top displacement). I am using modified kent and park model (concrete02) along withh c...
