I also encountered the same problem as Mr. Bainkuntha Silwal. By looking at the mode shapes using DisplayModel2D.tcl, it appears that the first two modes correspond to local panel zone modes and not the actual building mode.
A similar model using bilin material but without panel zones gives the time period T1=0.82s and T2=0.2s (http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index ... ment_Frame).

Could someone please confirm if the actual cause of discrepancy is not the bilin material but the above stated reason?
