Run OpenSees in notepad++

Hi, I have recently decided to use "notepad++" rather than "tcl Editor". However, I cannot run my OpenSees model when I push Run Button in notepad++, while I have no problem running model from Tcl Editor. Could you tell me please how can I cope this problem, and what I have to exactly do? I apprecia...

Re: Matlab and OpenSees using NeesHub

Hi,
Could you tell me please why when we use "!OpenSees Model.tcl", MATLAB calls that file? what does "!" do in MATLAB? Can we use this for other files written in other languages (such as Model.cpp)?!
Thanks a lot

Re: A general question!

Dear Andrea, Thanks for your comment, but I really didn't mean that! I meant how has he/she added their code in a way that you can scroll the code with scroll bar, and this is not like the following ones: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=61331&p=99932&hilit=Warning#p99932 h...

OpenSees Editor

Dear Dr. McKenna,
Hi, could you tell me please what was the editor you used in the last minutes of your presentation on February 28th?! It wasn't "Tcl Editor", was it?! Sounded like notepad++ to me, but OpenSees commands in notepad++ are not colored in the way you revealed to us!
Thanks a lot

Re: wipeAnalysis command

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation. But I still don't understand what you mean by "when you remove the analysis objects the domain stays in exactly the same state as it was AT THE END OF THE LAST ANALYSIS STEP". Could you explain a bit more please? Dose it mean that when we use wipeAnalysis ...

wipeAnalysis command

Hi, When we use "wipeAnalysis" it destroys all components of the Analysis. Now imagine we have performed a gravity analysis with using "LoadConst" command, and then a pushover analysis. What would happen if we use wipeAnalysis in this case? does the result of both gravity and pushover analyses becom...

Re: Question regarding Pushover Analysis

Dear Dr. McKenna, Thank you so much for your reply, It was really deriving me mad! and I'm really happy to have your support. 1-No problem at all. Everything works perfect but I get 64 lines of output. 2-As you said, I checked the overall equilibrium and it's OK, but the question is that why do I ge...

Question regarding Pushover Analysis

Hi there, I have a 6-story 3D model and want to perform a LOAD-CONTROL pushover analysis on it. However, I have 3 questions (problems actually) and would be grateful if you could help. 1)although I have defined 100 steps for my analysis (analyze 100), opensees only analyzes my model for 64 steps (I ...

Re: patch command in fiber sections

Dear Prof. McKenna,
Thanks for not letting me stay lazy :D . I did it and was informed that the results become different! But could you give me a clue what the reason is? I will follow your hint on my own. Thanks a lot.
