Re: uniaxialMaterial

thanks

I asked because I had doubts.
Can I use the uniaxialMaterial SelfCentering instead of uniaxialMaterial SMA?

uniaxialMaterial

hi I have become familiar with the behavior of uniaxialMaterial SMA to built a simple model . Why stress-strain curve is not drawn? Can I use the uniaxialMaterial SelfCentering instead of uniaxialMaterial SMA? Do these two materials have similar? Do these two materials applications are the same? Ple...

Re: Analysis

hi

I built a structural model with damper. Algorithm is only linear convergence is analyzed. But when Newton algorithm to analyze the structure without damper works. Comparing the two models is correct?

Re: Xbrace

hi
Do you need to model cross brace in the middle is the common nodes or elements must be modeled separately?
If it takes the common node is the primary imperfection modeling approach to how the buckling brace?

hello I made the model wih damper.the model to run with algorithm linear and Model will converge . If the model without damper to analyze ,with algorithmNewton will converge. what is problem ? the comparison of the two models is correct? If dt of earthquake is equal to 0.02.and to reduce dt of analy...

hi
For modeling the X braces have a common node used in the middle elements?

If so how can to made buckling brace with extra-axial 1/500?
