From Cook: " A constraint either prescribes the value of a DOF (as in imposing a support condition) or prescribes a relationship among DOF. In common terminology, a single-point constraint sets a single DOF to a known value (often zero) and a multi-point constraint imposes a relationship between two or more DOF....
