The OpenSees Basic Examples Manual contains examples for new users. It contains very simple examples on how to perform analysis of truss, frame and continuum models. It is a resource intended for new users of OpenSees. It only touches on the benefits that programming using the tcl language can provide.

The OpenSees Advanced Examples Manual contains examples on how to create models and perform simulations on those models.
It has examples ranging from simple single element linear models to complex 3D nonlinear fiber models.
These examples are intended only to show the usage of the commands available in OpenSees. They are not necessarily examples showing the best of practice.
New users to OpenSees are encouraged to use the Basic Examples Manual as this manual can be quite intimidating for new users.

The OpenSees Sensitivity Analysis contains commands and application examples on how to perform response sensitivity analysis.
These examples are intended only to show the usage of the commands available in OpenSees. They are not necessarily examples showing the best of practice.
